Touristy Stuff 4

Milano is only a flight of about an hour and fifteen minutes from Paris. However, we were travelling for the better part of the day. We decided to do a hotel brekkie before checking out at 10am. The reception guy offered to organise an airport transfer for €18 per person which we jumped at since none of us were particularly keen on dragging our luggage on the metro before connecting for a train to Charles de Gaulle airport. We flew with Easyjet who were pretty good considering they are a budget airline. The luggage caused problems but after shuffling stuff from one bag to another a few times we got it all sorted out.

We eventually arrive in Milano and met up with Nick at Milano Centrale Station to catch the metro to Lambrate. Once we got to Marghe's place we immediately ditched the luggage in our basement accomodation and headed upstairs to say hi to Marghe's parents and to sit down and catch up. We all agreed that we wanted to spend Thursday doing some much needed washing and simply chilling out.

Later that afternoon, about 2pm, we headed out to do a walking tour of Milano with Marghe as our tour guide. First up was a walk through the Duomo, Milano's 13th century cathedral. The Duomo actually took 800 years to construct with the most recent work being completed in the 1970s.
